We are seeking a new business sales professional who is energetic, focused, consistently process-orientated and passionate about growing their client base. Individuals will work in a team environment and will be responsible for identifying and developing sales opportunities, setting and executing sales strategy, and managing all aspects of the sales cycle to drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • As a senior member of the sales team, follow a disciplined approach to delivering on what are and will continue to be ambitious year on year sales targets.

  • Develop and diligently follow the annual sales plan and strategy in the acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing accounts, with the ultimate aim of ensuring that there is a high probability of successfully achieving the company and individual targets
  • Work with business development associates who specialise in the technical aspects of our products and formulate proposals to match these against client needs, co-leading sales meetings to determine clients' business cases
  • Create and manage focused client target lists
  • Learn and consistently execute our client's sales process
  • Ensure and manage a healthy pipeline to meet company and individual targets
  • Create opportunities from cold calls, warm leads and direct inbound leads
  • Manage and lead all aspects of open deals, taking personal ownership of the sales process to drive the sale to a successful completion within a pre-agreed time frame or qualifying the opportunity out
  • Handle objections smoothly and effectively
  • Manage contract creation and negotiation
  • Accurately track and report sales activity and output KPIs on a daily basis
  • Build and maintain effective relationships
  • Periodically attend industry events to expand our client's market presence, including managing the event booth
  • Research industry trends continuously

    Requirements:

  • Relevant work experience with a demonstrable track record of success
  • Buyside / investment management background as well as FinTech experience highly advantageous Self-starter and autonomous worker, with endless curiosity, willingness to learn and outrageously driven
  • Excellent sales craft with strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Executive-level presence and gravitas
  • Expert organisational and time management skills
  • An understanding of the trade and client lifecycle in investment management
  • A firm interest in FinTech and investment management across institutional, wealth and retail Excellent communication skills, including listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work closely with others in a team environment
  • Strong empathy and high emotional intelligence
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willing to travel as needed (mostly regional, infrequently on an international basis)
